Essay On Social Media Toxicity

Essay on Social media toxicity.
The increased use of social media has given teens unlimited access to pictures of the “ideal” body, therefore, giving them more to compare themselves to. So many young girls develop eating disorders, desire to change their body to look similar to their idolized influencers. Social media alongside of other internet resources made us believe that you can only be thin and beautiful with flawless skin and have gone so far to create filters to make us ‘’beautiful’’. People on social media edit their photos, use filters just because they are insecure too, but young girls take that as an example of how they should look.
My generation is deeply insecure with their looks, not everyone will admit it, but I strongly believe that everyone is insecure and would want to change something in their body. Personally I don’t think that I need plastic surgeries or botox, I am trying to like myself just the way I am. Sure, there are some days when I would do anything just to change how I look but I think it’s normal and everybody has bad days.
