Essay On Homelessness
Essay on Homelessness.
Have you ever slept on the street? Or did you not have money to eat? According to national reports, it is estimated that no less than 150 million people, or about 2 percent of the world's population, are homeless. However, around 1.6 billion, more than 20 percent of the world's population, may be without adequate housing.
First of all, there are many effects that a homeless person may suffer from. Other than the obvious change in the person’s lifestyle, such as the type of clothing they wear, homeless people are subject to various health effects as well. The mental illness may have been the reason the person became homeless or they may have acquired the illness from living in the streets. Moreover, another common effect that homeless people suffer is malnutrition. A homeless person’s diet is considerably different. Since they cannot afford to make a cooked meal, they often have to dig in the trash cans.
