Essay On Environmental Issues

Essay on Environmental issues.

The air is being polluted by exhaust fumes, smoke and gases from factories, cars and etc. As a result, people can develop breathing difficulties. Therefore, greenhouse gases are produced. It means the earth’s climate is changing. The earth is getting warmer and warmer. Also, aerosol sprays and other chemicals destroy the ozone layer. They have helped to make a huge hole in it. As a result, the earth is not protected from ultraviolet radiation which came from sun. Now, too much ultraviolet radiation enters the earth’s atmosphere through the hole. So it creates floods and soil erosion.

Much sewage and industrial waste is pumped into rivers and the sea. As a result, diseases are spread and it threatens fish stocks. Oil slicks discharged from ships pollute the sea. Even a thousand miles from land plastic rubbish has been seen floating on the surface. In addition, many canals are disused, overgrown and used for generations as places to throw unwanted rubbish. As a result, rubbish provides a breeding ground for vermin.

Firstly, it would be a good idea is to use alternative forms of energy. If this were done, natural resources would not come to an end and reduce air pollution caused by harmful gases. Another good idea to stop cutting down trees. If this were done, animals and birds would not lose their natural habitats. Another useful suggestion would be to recycle paper and other things. In this way new products would be made and we would reduce the amount of litter.
