We all have seen popular and somewhat scary Hollywood movies about artificial intelligence. The usual scenery of those kind of cinematic works shows how robots start of as good and suddenly reprogram themselves, thus causing great damage to the world. Recently I have seen an intriguing interview with Sophia – The Lifelike Robot.

Recently I have seen an intriguing interview with Sophia – The Lifelike Robot. In the interview Sophia explained that its artificial intelligence is designed around regular human values, like compassion, wisdom, kindness, therefore it wants to help humans achieve better a life.

Some points were made by Sophia that I am not sure if I completely agree with, such as its statement ‘I know that humans are smart and very programmable’. This sentence stood out to me. As it was said I felt small and thought to myself ‘Am I really that easy to affect?’. I think that humans as a whole will always be much greater than robots simply because we created them, therefore, theoretically speaking, they can’t do anything else that isn’t a program in their software.
