Religion has very big impact to people lives. Nowadays people argue is it still necessary to learn about other beliefs and values. My view is that religion should not be a compulsory lesson.

Firstly, intolerance level between students is very high. Even though there would be more than one religion thought, there is a chance that could be a beef and bullying between those who choose to believe in different gods than others. Even if purpose is for good reasons, it could cause bad consequences as suicides or school shootings.

Secondly, lessons about religion could leave students and parents hurt, angry, or violated. No matter what, teachers are human beings and have their own thoughts and opinions for everything.
