We need to stand out on the topic of religion, because it’s really important thing in our lives. We all have to believe in something for example somebody believes in god, somebody in tree and somebody just believes in themselves (lot’s of option). If we don’ t believe in something we can’t live further, it’s very hard and there’s no positive inside.

Although by Western standards many people could be described as non religious, the majority of the population is religious from a sociological point of view the cultural influence of traditional religions such as Buddhism and Confucianism still affects the spiritual life of North Koreans.

The North Korean constitution proclaims freedom of religion, but, according to a U.S.A government statement, religious activity in the country is in fact restricted. According to the CIA fact book, there are government backed religious groups whose purpose is to create the illusion of religious freedom. The Open Doors, an organization that supports persecuted Christians, claims that Christians are being persecuted more brutally in North Korea than in any other country in the world.
