Graffiti an art form or vandalism and why are some people so keen on graffiti?

Undoubtedly, all people in the world are more or less interested in art, dependent on their lifestyle. Nowadays, one of the most popular art forms is graffiti but many people think that graffiti is not art. Some young people who practise graffiti are called vandals. So how really it is – is graffiti an art form or vandalism and why are some people so keen on graffiti?

To begin with, regarding graffiti, personally I think that graffiti is art for the following reasons. Firstly, the ability to produce complicated pieces makes graffiti art. For instance, the completion of a piece reqiures a great deal of imagination, planning and effort. Street art beautities the community appearing on areas that normally would be eyesores. Besides, a city with graffiti and street art is a much more vibrant one, and therefore, it should not be criminalised but rather given as much space as possible. Secondly, many graffiti artits are treated as respected artists, and some of them have made it in the world of bussines.
