Comparison Of The Traditional Text And The Hypertext

Comparison of the traditional text and the hypertext.

It is not surprising to find that from ancient ages people have used the text for different purposes. Ones have used it for messaging, others have filled their knowledge baggage by reading and writing books. Of course, it should not be forgotten that texts were really simple and primitive. Today the world is changed by new technologies, so the text is various too. The biggest change in text can be seen in that it was divided into two types namely linear and non-linear texts or in other words hypertext. But there are some questions about it: What is special about linear and non-linear text?

In summarizing, it is obvious that traditional linear text is usually displayed in a straight line from beginning to end. Linear text has a big advantage due to the fact that people always know what is going to be next or in other words they will never get lost. However, this “one-line” movement from front to back could be really monotonous. What concerns the hypertext or non-linear text, it should be admitted that it is traditionally linked to a variety of information in different forms.
