Comedies Comparison Essay

The one is an American sit-com Modern family that appeals to me and another one is British sit-com Mr. Bean that does not appeal to me.

So comparing these two sit-coms we can see that both of them have mechanical elements, but in the Modern family they are stereotypes and for me they are funny every time I notice them in the series while in Mr. Bean it is character and it is quite predictable. Also modern family is incongruous so I can’t predict characters behavior, and it makes this sit-com hilarious.

To my point of view, Modern family sit-com is still suitable since 2009 for modern society 2018, because it indicates today’s society problems, relationships and lifestyle, whereas Mr. Bean, to my opinion, is outdated.
