In 2010, the Lithuanian Food Bank collected 2529 tons of food. In 2011, the amount collected by the Lithuanian Food Bank doubled to 4077 tons of food. During the 2011 almost 2000 tons of food had been saved from dumping. It allowed Maisto Bankas to serve 5 million meals.

Collaborating with “IKI” chain stores, Lithuanian Food Bank runs a project of minimizing food waste. Maisto Bankas collects close to expired date, fresh and perishable food items and distribute them to charities as well as families in need.
