Brat Farrar book review.

I read a crime novel called „Brat Farrar“ by Josephine Tey. The main character of the story was a young stableman by the name of Brat Farrar. The action took place in the late 1940s, after World War II near the south coast of England. One day Brat was walking through the streets of London when suddenly someone unknown greeted Brat as „Simon“. That stranger was Alec Loding. Alec told Brat that he looks just like the missing twin from the Ashby family, which is related to Alec. Alec's idea is that Brat should impersonate the missing twin, Patrick, and as the elder brother, claim the whole estate. In return Brat would give him a share of the money. Brat thought a lot about Alec‘s offer and eventually agreed. Two weeks later Brat appeared at the office of the Ashby family solicitor, saying he adopted the name "Brat Farrar" after running away.
