Book review - The old man and the sea .
Another interesting character is a young boy named Manolin. This character appears in the beginning and the end of the story. He is a very good friend of Santiago. Manolin is very devoted to his friend Santiago and very caring, which not all of the teenagers are like. He listens to his father, but feels sad when he can’t go to fish with Santiago.
The best moment for me is when Santiago is in the sea and tries to catch the biggest fish. When I was reading this part I couldn’t put the book down. And also I identified myself with Santiago because he is stubborn like me.
To sum up this story is very moving, serious and a little bit scary. For me it was a very good read.
