Book Review: 100 Years Of Solitude

Book review: 100 years of solitude.

The novel’s poetic language, historical scope, and thematic and symbolic complexity gripes the reader easily. Although the book is written quite explicitly for me it makes it more interesting when there is nothing hidden, showing the raw and horrifying events. The only problem I have with the book is the very complicated family tree. There are multiple characters with the same name making it hard to read at times.

One hundred years of solitude, a book written in magical realism, the novel blurs the lines between what’s real and what’s magic, combined with the amazing storytelling and historical references was recognized all around the world as a must-read.
