Determination of cross section class. Lateral stability of main beam. Design of axially loaded columns. Determination of loads. Determination of effective length of the column. Selection of cross section.

Next calculation is only for this case, where is bigger.

Buckling is about z-z axis, so imperfection factor α is 0,49;

Both conditions are satisfied, so my final selection is HE 300A.
